Menu Planning

Normally when I menu plan, even if I do it a month at a time, each day of the week has a theme. It makes it a lot easier on me when I know Monday is Mexican, Wednesday is breakfast for dinner, Saturday is chicken night and well you catch the idea. To give you a better idea of what I mean here is a four week example of a past menu plan:

Monday

Tuesday

Wednesday

Thursday

Friday

Saturday

Sunday

Italian Night

Slow Cooker

Chicken

Meatless

Beef

Breakfast

Soup/Salad

Baked Spaghetti

Bean and Potato Stew
Chicken Poulet
Tostadas
Meatloaf
Pancakes
Split Pea Soup
Chicken and Gnocchi Soup
Beef Tips and Rice
Enchiladas
Baked Potatoes and Salad
Pepper Steak
Biscuits and Gravy
Chef Salad
Pizza
Pot Roast
Chicken and Dumplings
Navy beans
Fajitas
French Toast
Broccoli Soup
Lasagna
Cheesy Bacon Chicken
Mongolian Chicken
Quesodillas, beans and rice
Burgers and Fries
Breakfast Casserole
Cowboy Stew

Having theme nights simplifies the dinner time rush and that works for me

  1. You've done a nice job of developing your blog's look and I enjoyed seeing what another Mom choosed to put on the menu. I'm just beginning to do meal plans but I love the predictability it brings. I just became a follower.

  2. Love theme planning - have used that myself in the past. Does make the decision making process so much easier!

  3. I found your blog through a comment that you left on Rachel's blog. I hate having to plan a menu, that's the worst part for me so I am totally going to try to use this menu. Thanks!
